Chief Ronald A. Ricucci from the Takoma Park Police Department announces the arrest of Erik Willis, 30, of Takoma Park, Maryland, for 1st Degree Burglary, 4th Degree Burglary and Theft over $1,000.
On December 9, 2009, at approximately 8:30 a.m., Takoma Park Police responded to the 700 block of Ethan Allen Avenue for reports of a burglary that had occurred earlier. Property was taken. Further investigation revealed that the property stolen had been pawned at a local pawn shop. Through receipts and investigation, Erik Willis was developed as the suspect and subsequently an arrest warrant was obtained and served.
Willis was arrested and transported to the Montgomery Central Processing Unit for an appearance before a District Court Commissioner.
