Chief Ronald A. Ricucci from the Takoma Park Police Department announces the arrests of two juveniles, 15 and 17 years of age, both of Hyattsville, Maryland, for felony theft, motor vehicle theft and unauthorized use of a vehicle.
On January 27, 2010, at approximately 3:33 p.m., a detective on duty in the 7600 block of New Hampshire Avenue, Takoma Park, Maryland, ran the tag of a vehicle, which came back as having been reported stolen in Prince George’s County, Maryland, on January 24, 2010. The detective made contact with the juvenile driver and passenger and arrested them without incident. The 17 year old juvenile was released to a juvenile detention center and the 15 year old juvenile was released to the custody of a parent.
