Takoma Park Police Department Weekly Crime Report: 10/8/10 - 10/14/10

T1 Beat:

Robbery


6900 block of Carroll Ave, on Saturday, October 9 at 7:00 p.m., after using the Bank of America ATM victim was approached by two suspects and asked if he had two dollars. The suspects proceeded to demand the victim empty his pockets and give them everything. S1 implied he had a gun under his jacket. The victim ran and no property was taken. S1: B/M 15-18 5'8"-5'9" Navy/blue jacket,red baseball cap with white logo. S2: B/M 15-18 5'9"-5'11" Brown jacket short hair style.

Assault

7600 block of Takoma Ave, on Saturday, October 9 at 1:42 p.m., a known suspect approached a victim at Montgomery College in the library, exposed himself, and ejaculated on the victim.


Burglary-Residential


7100 block of Maple Ave, on Thursday, October 7 at 4:23 p.m., unknown suspects entered the residence through an unlocked window and/or an unlocked door and stole property.

Auto Theft

6500 block of Poplar Ave, on Friday, October 8 between 2:00 p.m. and 5:50 p.m., unknown suspect(s) stole the victims blue 1999 Chrysler Cirrus while parked in the street by unknown means.

Larceny

1300 block of University Blvd, on Friday, October 8 at 2:29 p.m., victim reported that a dumpster behind his business was stolen by unknown means.

Assault


200 block of Grant Ave, on Monday, October 11 at 2:25 p.m., an unknown suspect hit the victim in the stomach as the victim passed on a skateboard. W/F Mid 30's to 40's, 5'06, 150-160. Last Seen wearing a pink shirt, blue sweater wrapped around her waist, blue jeans and white tennis shoes. Dark blond hair L/S wearing sunglasses.

Robbery

300 block of Ethan Allen Ave, on Monday, October 11 at 11:24 p.m., victim was waiting at bus stop when he was approached by a vehicle with four suspects inside. S1 and S2 exited the car and attempted to force the victim inside. The victim resisted and yelled for help as S1 grabbed the victim’s bag. All the suspects then fled the scene. S1: B/M, 17-19yoa, white sweatshirt, blue jeans, 5'7, 150lbs dreads, dark baseball cap. S2: B/M 17-19yoa white sweatshirt, blue jeans, 5-7, 150. S3: B/M. S4: B/M.

Burglary-Residential

1200 block of Holton Ln, between Friday, October 8 at 11:00 a.m. and Monday, October 11 at 7:50 a.m., unknown suspect(s) broke a window and entered the residence and stole property. The homeowner secured the broken window with a loose board and the following two nights the board had been removed, however no property was taken and it is unknown if entry was made.

Burglary-Commercial

7300 block of New Hampshire Ave, between Thursday, October 7 at 7:00 p.m. and Friday, October 8 at 6:30 a.m., unknown suspect(s) broke into to sheds behind the church by prying open the doors. Property was taken.

Vandalism

600 block of Ethan Allen Ave, on Wednesday, October 13 at 2:00 p.m., unknown suspect(s) scratched the victims car with an object and damaged the paint.

Arrests:

7600 block of New Hampshire Ave, on Friday, October 8 at 5:47, a male 35 was arrested for shoplifting.

1300 block of University Blvd, on Thursday, October 7 at 1:32 p.m., a female 51 was arrested for assaulting to subjects inside a business.

Intersection of Ethan Allen Ave/Jackson Ave, on Tuesday, October 12 at 5:57 a.m., a male 45 was arrested for having an open warrant for violation of a protection order.

7500 block of Takoma Ave, on Monday, October 11 at 8:50 p.m., a male 43 was arrested for possession of alcohol in a public park.

7800 block of Kennewick Ave, on Saturday, October 9 at 11:00 p.m., a male 28 was arrested for disorderly conduct.

6900 block of New Hampshire Ave, on Wednesday, October 13 at 5:16 p.m., a male 43 was arrested for having an open warrant for failure to appear.
