FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Chief Ronald A. Ricucci of the Takoma Park Police Department announces the arrests of four 14-year old male juveniles (three from Takoma Park, Maryland and one from Silver Spring, Maryland), and two 15-year old male juveniles (one from Takoma Park, Maryland and the other from Silver Spring, Maryland), for trespassing, destruction of property and theft under $1,000.

On June 16, 2011, at approximately 1:23 a.m., Takoma Park Police responded to Takoma Park Middle School for loud banging coming from the area of the school. When units arrived, they found the six juveniles on the lower roof at the rear of the school. Property belonging to the juveniles was found on the roof, which included tools that aided in the destruction and removal of school property, i.e., the message board. All six juveniles were charged with the above offenses and released to the custody of their respective parents.
