On October 29, 2011, at approximately 3:08 p.m., Takoma Park Police responded to 7500 block of Wildwood Drive for reports of an auto theft. The vehicle’s engine was left running and when the victim returned to the vehicle, it was gone. A look-out was provided to all surrounding jurisdictions. The vehicle is described as a 2001 burgundy/maroon BMW X5 (SUV) with Maryland Tag #617M105. The victim had various items of personal property in the vehicle.
The vehicle has been entered into the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) stolen vehicle database and a statewide lookout has been released by Takoma Park Police Department. Investigation continues under case #11053783. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to please call us at 301.270.1100.
