On December 10, 2011, at approximately 7:32 p.m., Takoma Park Police responded to the 6500 block of New Hampshire Avenue (Jiffy Lube) for reports of an armed robbery. The victim was leaving the business when he was approached by two males dressed all in black and wearing ski masks, both armed with black pistols. He was ordered to re-open the business and the suspects demanded property. The two suspects then fled the business in an unknown direction. A K-9 track was attempted but with negative results. The victim did not suffer any physical injury.
The only descriptions of the suspects are that one was a white male and the other a black male, both wearing all black and both wearing ski masks.
