Ward 1:
Robbery
400 blk. of Philadelphia Ave., on Friday, December 16 at 11:50 a.m., officers responded to a robbery that occurred earlier. Two unknown male suspects approached a female victim after following her from the Takoma Metro Station. The suspects forcibly grabbed the victims’ purse and fled in an unknown direction. The victim was uninjured.
Larceny from Auto
7300 blk. of Takoma Ave., on Tuesday, December 13 at 8:08 a.m., officers responded to a theft that occurred overnight. Unknown suspect(s) used a screwdriver to break the vehicle window and stole property.
Larceny
7100 blk. of Willow Ave., on Sunday, December 18 at 10:21 a.m., officers responded to a theft that occurred overnight. Unknown suspect(s) stole license plate tag stickers from a vehicle.
Unit blk. of Holt Pl., on Friday, December 9 at 2:08 a.m., officers responded to a theft that occurred earlier. Three unknown male suspects were observed removing property from a vacant house.
Unit blk. of Holt Pl., on Sunday, December 11 at 2:44 p.m., officers responded to a theft that occurred overnight. Unknown suspect(s) stole animal traps from a property.
Ward 2:
Robbery
6900 blk. of New Hampshire Ave., on Saturday, December 10 at 3:47 p.m., officers responded for a robbery in progress. A known male suspect attempted to steal the male victims’ vehicle while the victim was inside paying for gas. The victim confronted the suspect and a struggle ensued. The suspect stabbed the victim with a knife multiple times during the struggle before fleeing in a different vehicle. Officers arrived on scene and pursued the suspect vehicle. The suspect crashed the vehicle and was spotted by a responding officer and confronted. A struggle ensued between the suspect and officer. The officer deployed a taser on the suspect, but it was ineffective. An additional unit arrived on scene and fearing for the officer’s safety was forced to shoot the suspect. The suspect succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The victim was transported to the hospital with major injuries.
Assault
6800 blk. of New Hampshire Ave., on Monday, December 12 at 3:30 a.m., officers responded to an assault that just occurred. A known male suspect assaulted a female victim during an argument that turned physical. The suspect fled the scene before units arrived.

Robbery
6700 blk. of Westmoreland Ave., on Monday, December 12 at 10:27 p.m., officers responded to a robbery that just occurred. Two male suspects approached a male victim as he walked, assaulted the victim, and removed property. The victim suffered minor injuries.
Residential Burglary
6500 blk. of 4th Ave., on Wednesday, December 14 at 3:24 p.m., officers responded to a burglary that occurred earlier. Unknown suspect(s) entered through an open garage and forced entry into the interior door. Once inside the suspect(s) removed property.
Larceny from Auto
6400 blk. of New Hampshire Ave., on Wednesday, December 14 at 8:56 a.m., officers responded to a theft that occurred earlier. Unknown suspect(s) pulled alongside the victims’ car while it was parked at the gas pump, opened the victim’s unlocked car door, and removed the victim’s purse from the front seat. The suspect vehicle then fled southbound on New Hampshire Avenue.
Residential Burglary
7100 blk. of Poplar Ave., on Sunday, December 18 at 11:57 a.m., officers responded to a burglary that occurred earlier. Unknown suspect(s) broke a rear window to a residence and stole property.
Larceny
300 blk. of Lincoln Ave., on Sunday, December 18 at 12:48 a.m., a female 16 was arrested for stealing a cell phone.
6500 blk. of New Hampshire Ave., on Saturday, December 10 at 7:23 p.m., officers responded to a robbery that just occurred. Two unknown male suspects entered a business armed with handguns and demanded money at gunpoint. The clerk complied and the suspects fled in an unknown direction. The clerk was uninjured.

100 blk. of Ritchie Ave., on Wednesday, December 14 at 10:00 p.m., officers responded to a theft that occurred overnight. Unknown suspect(s) opened an unlocked car and stole property.
100 blk. of Geneva Ave., on Tuesday, December 13 at 9:41 a.m., officers responded to a theft that occurred overnight. Unknown suspect(s) entered an unlocked vehicle and stole property.
Auto Theft
7500 blk. of Maple Ave., on Wednesday, December 14 at 4:24 p.m., officers responded to an auto theft that occurred earlier. Unknown suspect(s) stole a purple 1997 Dodge Caravan by unknown means.
7600 blk. of Maple Ave., on Sunday, December 11 at 11:42 p.m., officers responded to an attempted auto theft that just occurred. Unknown suspect(s) gained entry and attempted to punch the ignition to a white 1998 Chrysler Town & Country but were unsuccessful.

Assault
8200 blk. of Houston Ct., on Saturday, December 10 at 5:53 p.m., officers responded to an assault in progress. A known male suspect assaulted two female victims during an argument that turned physical. The suspect fled the scene before units arrived.

Robbery
Intersection of University Blvd. and New Hampshire Ave., on Friday, December 16 at 5:44 p.m., officers responded to a robbery that just occurred. Two suspects approached a male victim after the victim finished an ATM withdrawal and asked if he would like to buy a cell phone. The victim said no at which point one suspect brandished a knife and demanded the victims’ money. The victim complied and the suspects fled in a small white SUV toward Kennewick Avenue. The victim was uninjured.
7400 blk. of New Hampshire Ave., on Sunday, December 11 at 3:29 a.m., two males 28, 59, and a female 23, were arrested after assaulting officers attempting to break up a large fight.
Commercial Burglary
7500 blk. of New Hampshire Ave., on Thursday, December 15 at 9:04 a.m., officers responded to a burglary that occurred overnight. Unknown suspect(s) pried a window open to gain access to the business. Once inside property was rummaged through however nothing was taken.
Larceny
7800 blk. of Lockney Ave., on Thursday, December 15 at 12:26 a.m., officers responded to a theft that occurred earlier. The victim noticed a missing piece of jewelry after a cleaning crew had just left the residence.
